Motorcyclist killed in Kent road crash 'a true gentleman'

A motorcyclist who died in a crash with a car in Kent has been described as "one of life's true gentlemen".

Malcolm Batt, 55, from Tenterden died along with two women from Birmingham and Walsall on the A259 Rye Road, in Brookland, Romney Marsh, on Sunday.

A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on bail.

Mr Batt's family said he was "loved and adored" by everyone.

In a written tribute, they said: "Malcolm was a giant of a man who lived for his family, friends and dogs.

"His genuine warmth and appetite for life touched all who knew him."
