Canterbury flats arson: Second man arrested

A second man has been arrested after a suspected arson attack at a block of flats.

Eight residents were rescued by Kent Fire and Rescue Service from the flats in Sussex Avenue, Canterbury on Friday.

The 27 year old from Canterbury - arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson with intent to endanger life - was bailed until May 12.

On Saturday, a 26-year-old man accused of the same offence was bailed until May 11.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information about the fire to call Kent Police.
