Man held over James Todd Clayton Le Moors murder

Murder squad detectives investigating the discovery of a decomposed body in Lancashire have been granted more time to interview a suspect.

The 25-year-old suspect was arrested following the discovery of James Todd's body at a house on Rutland Close, Clayton Le Moors on Monday.

A post mortem examination revealed Mr Todd, 27, was stabbed in the heart.

A 30 year old man who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released without charge.

A senior officer approved the extension.

Officers will need to apply to a court to detain him further.
