Men bailed in Poulton fatal crash inquiry
Two men questioned over the deaths of two 17-year-old girls in a car crash in Lancashire have been released on bail.
Carly Notton and Danielle Lanchester were in a Renault Clio which left the road and hit a tree, before ending up in a field, in Poulton-le-Fylde.
Two men, aged 18 and 20, who were travelling in a separate car, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
They have now been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Lancashire Police were called to reports of the crash on Garstang Road at about 2215 GMT on Sunday.
The girls, who are both from Blackpool, died at the scene.
Police said they were "keeping an open mind" about the cause of the crash, including whether the two cars were racing.
They also said it was not yet clear whether the weather had played a part.
