Murder arrest over collapse death in Lancashire

A murder investigation is under way after a 38-year-old man was found collapsed at a property in Blackburn, Lancashire.

He was discovered at an address at Kingsbridge Wharf on Monday. He was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital where he died the following day.

At first it was thought a fall caused his serious head injuries but police believe it is now suspicious.

A 36-year-old man from Blackburn has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A post-mortem examination has been carried out and further tests are required to establish the cause of death.
