Three rescued from fire in Blackpool flat

Two women and a man have been rescued from a fire in a second-floor flat in Blackpool.

The fire, at a building on St Annes Road, was so severe it spread to the flat below.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus led the three people down a stairwell. They were taken to hospital for treatment.

A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service investigation has begun into the cause of the fire, which damaged four rooms.
