People in Burnley are being invited to help shape the appearance of the town centre and Weavers' Triangle.

Burnley Council is seeking opinion on two draft strategies setting out its vision for the future of the public space in both areas.

These include the appearance of squares, streets, roads, green spaces, towpaths and other rights of way.

The council said its plans provided a "clear and exciting vision" for how the public areas could be improved.

Councillor Roger Frost, member for the environment, said: "The draft strategies are a significant step forward in achieving attractive living places reflecting local character and distinctiveness.

"They are also an important part of Burnley 's regeneration and demonstrate our commitment to improving the quality of surroundings for businesses, residents and visitors alike.

The public consultation starts on Monday.
