Arrests after motorcyclist death on A675 Lancashire

A motorcyclist has been killed and another injured in a crash with a car in Lancashire.

Police said the motorcyclists were on the A675 Belmont Road at Abbey Village at 1845 GMT on Monday, when they collided with a Ford Mondeo.

Nathan Lynch, 22, from Little Lever in Bolton, suffered fatal injuries. The other man, aged 44, was seriously hurt.

Two men inside the Mondeo, aged 32 and 45, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The 32-year-old, from Bolton, remains in police custody. The other man has been released on bail pending further inquires.
