Two young men attacked on walk home in Morecambe

Two young men were attacked and robbed as they walked home in Morecambe, police have said.

The men, aged 20 and 23, were walking along Euston Road when three other men approached them at the junction of Thornton Road at 0330 BST on Thursday.

The 23-year-old was punched to the ground and the other was punched, headbutted and kicked. His phone, passport and bank cards were stolen.

Both men received head injuries in the attack.

Det Con Melanie Caunce, of Lancashire Police, said: "This was a nasty incident, the two men were targeted in a completely unprovoked attack and I would appeal to anybody who has any information about it to contact police."
