Man hurt in Preesall three-car collision

A man who was seriously injured in a three-car crash in Lancashire has been airlifted to hospital.

The cars collided on Park Lane, near the Saracens Head pub in Preesall, at about 1350 BST.

The driver of a Nissan Sunny was cut free by firefighters before being taken to hospital by air ambulance to be treated for serious leg injuries.

A woman also had to be cut free from a Ford Fiesta and was taken to hospital suffering from chest injuries.

The road has been closed while accident investigators are at the scene and drivers are being advised to avoid the area.

Anyone who witnessed the crash, which also involved a Mazda 626 car, is being urged to contact Lancashire Police.
