Stuart McKenzie dies in A6 motorbike crash

A 26-year-old man has died after his motorbike was in collision with a car on the A6 in Lancashire.

Stuart McKenzie, from Preston, suffered multiple injuries in the crash on the Garstang by-pass on Sunday at 1135 BST.

He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital by air ambulance, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of a Mercedes C180 and two passengers were treated in hospital for minor injuries.

The road was closed for about three and a half hours while collision investigators examined the scene.

Brother 'heartbroken'

Mr McKenzie's brother, Sean, said: "My brother was currently single and had no children.

"He worked as a carer. He was the biggest, kindest soul, so he was good at his job.

"My brother would do anything for anyone, he loved going on his motorbike and loved playing on his computer.

"He had some close friends and he socialised mainly with me.

"As he was my only full brother, I am heartbroken, and feel lost."

Police have appealed for witnesses.
