Blackpool abduction attempt: offender used knife
A man who tried to abduct a two-year-old girl from a garden in Blackpool used a knife in the incident, police have said.
A child's trampoline was slashed by the offender before he tried to grab the girl from the back garden of a house on Erdington Road on Thursday.
Officers have ruled out a connection with a man later found in a four-year-old's bedroom in St Heliers Road.
Police said the Erdington Road offender was still at large.
A 30-year-old man was arrested near the scene of the St Heliers Road incident and has been charged, police said.
Det Ch Insp Andrea Barrow said: "This is an incredibly serious offence and the man responsible is still outstanding."
Ch Insp Sue Cawley added that patrols have been stepped and she warned parents to be vigilant.
