Parents released after toddler death in Barnoldswick

Police investigating the death of a two-year-old boy in Lancashire have said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

The child died on Sunday at a house in Barnoldswick, and his parents were subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder and child cruelty.

A post-mortem revealed the boy had died of asphyxiation. Police have concluded the death was a "tragic accident".

His parents, both 24, have been released without charge.
