Appeal after man's ear bitten during Rawtenstall fight

A man had part of his ear bitten off in an attack at a bus station in Lancashire.

Two men became embroiled in a fight at Rawtenstall bus station which led to one having his ear lobe bitten off, police said.

The incident happened at about 02:45 BST on 10 July. Lancashire Police have now released the details in an attempt to determine what happened.

Det Con Harvinder Uppal urged anyone with information to contact police.

"I would appeal to anyone who was walking down Bacup Road and witnessed the incident at the bus shelter," she said.

"Secondly, I am keen to hear from any taxi drivers who were perhaps in the area or passing by."
