A man who died when a crane crashed on a hillside near Ramsbottom is named.

Lindsay Easton, 49, of Sowerby Bridge, Halifax, died at the scene in Scout Moor quarry, Edenfield just before 12:00 BST on Monday.

Lancashire Police said the mobile crane is thought to have left the road before coming to a stop, trapping the driver.

A joint investigation between Lancashire Constabulary and the Health and Safety Executive is ongoing.
