Man arrested over Blackpool bank robbery

A man has been arrested following an armed robbery at a bank in Blackpool earlier this month, police said.

The Royal Bank of Scotland, on Red Bank Road, was held up at 14:00 BST on 8 August.

A gunman got away with cash and ran off towards the promenade, down Hesketh Avenue past the Highlands Hotel.

Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with the robbery and said he will be questioned later.
