Family tribute to motorcyclist who died in Poulton crash

The family of a motorcyclist who died when his bike was in a crash with a car in Lancashire have paid tribute to a "devoted dad, partner and family man".

Brian McOwen, 53, died when his bike collided with a Ford Focus on Blackpool Old Road, Poulton, on Monday.

Mr McOwen, a shop owner from Poulton, was described as an avid motorcycle enthusiast.

His family said: "Brian will be greatly missed by his family and friends, who are all devastated by the loss."

They continued: "Brian was loved and respected by many, often delivering goods and food to the elderly.

"He enjoyed riding his motorcycles and having a pint with his pals and family."

The driver of the Ford Focus was not injured in the crash, but was treated for shock.
