Second death after Anchorsholme lamppost crash

A second person has died after a car crashed into a lamppost in Lancashire.

Seven people in their late teens and early 20s were travelling in a MG ZR when it crashed on Fleetwood Road, Anchorsholme, three months ago.

Roseanne Cooper, 21, died at the scene. Nathan Weston, 23, from Blackpool, who suffered a punctured lung, died of his injuries on Monday, police said.

The driver, from Pilling, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and causing death by dangerous driving.

He is on police bail pending further inquiries.
