The family of a man found dead at a landfill site in Lancashire have paid tribute to a "good natured person who had a heart of gold".

Jason Marren, 32, from Burnley, was found at the Whinney Hill Road site in Accrington on Monday morning.

A post-mortem examination proved inconclusive, police said.

His family said: "He will be sadly missed and leaves a massive hole in the people's hearts that loved and cared for him dearly."

They added: "He led his own life where he would do his own thing and just got on with it."

Police said Mr Marren's body showed no obvious signs of a violent attack and further tests would be carried out.

Police believe his body may have been taken from another site and were also examining Widow Hill Road in Burnley.

They have asked anyone with information to contact them.
