Detectives investigating the death of a man at a waste disposal site in Lancashire have ruled out any third party involvement.

Jason Marren, 32, from Burnley, was found at the Whinney Hill Road site in Accrington on Monday morning.

A post-mortem examination proved inconclusive, police said.

A spokesman said it now appeared he had fallen or collapsed at a disposal site in Burnley and then was transported to Accrington by one of the vehicles.

Mr Marren's family described him as "good natured person who had a heart of gold".

Det Ch Insp Andrea Barrow, of Lancashire Police, said the incident would be passed to the coroner.

"I would like to thank all those people who came forward and provided information to the enquiry team as they have helped us with our investigation," she added.

"This is a difficult time for the family of Mr Marren and we will continue to offer them support."
