A series of burglaries involving the theft of Asian heritage jewellery are being linked by detectives in Lancashire.

Police believe that up to 20 break-ins carried out in the Preston area since April 2011 may have been carried out by the same gang.

On each occasion, the burglars forced entry through a back door and took only cash and jewellery.

CCTV images have been released of two men police want to identify.

The images relate to a run of four burglaries committed between 25 and 30 August during the late morning and early afternoon in the Deepdale area of Preston.

The most recent offence took place between 14:30 BST and 16:15 BST at a house on St Thomas Road from where burglars took four gold bangles, a pair of earrings, a necklace, a ring and a watch, valued at £4,000 and £200 in cash.
