Motorcyclist David Redman dies after collision on A588

A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash on the A588 in Lancashire, police have said.

David Redman, 50, from Preesall, was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Corsa at the Junction of Carr Lane and Sower Carr Lane in Hambleton on Sunday.

He received serious head injuries in the accident at about 14:40 GMT and died a short time later at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

The driver and passenger in the car were shaken but uninjured.

The road was closed at the junction for three hours to allow for accident investigation to take place.

Sgt Alan Baron said: "I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of collision to come forward if they have any information that could help with our investigation."
