Man charged over John Leatherbarrow stab death

A 41-year-old man has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death at a flat in Lancashire.

John Leatherbarrow, 37, from Leyland, was found dead by police at a flat on Westfield Drive just after 12:00 GMT on Sunday.

A post mortem examination revealed the cause of death to be loss of blood, attributed to a stab wound.

Barry Cookson, of Westfield Drive, will appear at Preston Magistrates' Court on Thursday charged with his murder.
