Skelmersdale crash death: Judges order retrial

Three judges have ordered the retrial of a driver jailed for causing a man's death in a high speed crash.

Shane Hampson, 23, of Lime Grove, Skelmersdale, was convicted at Liverpool Crown Court in March of causing death by dangerous driving.

John Gregory, 49, from Wigan, Greater Manchester, died when a car crashed into the back of his vehicle in Skelmersdale in February 2011.

The Court of Appeal judges said the conviction was unsafe.
