Seven injured in Blackpool motorway crash

Seven people have been injured after a minibus overturned on a motorway near Blackpool.

Emergency services were called to Junction 4 on the M55 motorway at about 16:10 BST after receiving reports the vehicle had crashed.

One person was airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital in a "serious condition", while six others were taken by road.

Police said none were thought to have life-threatening injuries.

A spokeswoman said no other vehicles were involved in the incident.

The westbound carriageway, which was closed to traffic while police investigated what happened, has reopened.
