Man, 46, found in Blackpool alleyway dies

A man found with serious head injuries in a Blackpool alley has died in hospital, police said.

James Whitelaw, 46, originally from Glasgow, was discovered unconscious behind Regent Street at about 22:00 GMT on Friday.

Lancashire Police said it was not clear how Mr Whitelaw was injured ,and detectives are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.

A post-mortem examination into his death is due on Thursday.
