Three people held over man's death in Blackpool alleyway

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who was found with serious head injuries in a Blackpool alleyway.

A post-mortem examination found that James Whitelaw, 46, originally from Glasgow, died after being hit on the head with a blunt object.

Three Blackpool men, two aged 22 and one aged 21, are being questioned.

Mr Whitelaw was found unconscious behind Regent Street at about 22:00 GMT last Friday and died on Wednesday.
