A teenager has been jailed for life for stabbing a 19-year-old man to death in Blackpool.

Robert Heneghan, 19, of Palatine Road, Blackpool, stabbed Sam Be in the chest after a disturbance at an address on Dean Street on 14 August.

Mr Bee left the address and was found in the back yard of a hotel nearby. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Heneghan was found guilty of murder and a judge at Preston Crown Court ordered him to serve a minimum of 19 years.

A post-mortem examination revealed Mr Bee died as a result of a single stab wound to the chest.

Lancashire police said the case was "a tragic and unnecessary loss of life".
