Police are investigating reports a four-year-old girl was sexually assaulted at a children's play centre.

She told her parents she was attacked while playing at The Zone on Dalton Square in Lancaster on Saturday.

A 13-year-old boy from Lancaster has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and released on bail pending further inquiries.

Police believe it is an isolated incident and have asked any witnesses who were at the centre to contact them.
