Man charged over Blackburn attack

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was attacked in his home.

The victim, aged 41, was assaulted at the property on Coleridge Street, Blackburn, last Sunday.

Steven Quigley, 30, of Rothesay Road, Blackburn, is due to appear before Blackburn Magistrates' Court on Monday.

A second man, Gary Quigley, 42, of Hancock Street, Blackburn, will also appear before magistrates on a charge of assisting an offender.

The victim remains in a critical condition at the Royal Preston Hospital.
