A once homeless couple from Blackpool who now run a centre for the disadvantaged have received a national award.

Len and Carol Fowler were on the streets with five children when they were given help, shelter and food, they said.

They now run the Well on Queens Park estate which provides hundreds of people with hot meals and clothes.

The couple were awarded the Inspire Award which recognises unsung Christian heroes at the Palace of Westminster earlier.
