Police are trying to trace a missing sex offender who has breached the conditions of his release from prison.

Paul Hope was jailed for 32 months in 2010 after being convicted of two counts of sexual activity with a child under 16.

The 30-year-old is subject to regular monitoring and checks, but failed to return to an agreed premises in Blackburn, Lancashire, yesterday.

Hope is now wanted on recall to prison, Lancashire Police said.

Det Ch Insp Claire McEnery said: "I would urge anyone with information on where he might be to contact us.

"I would also urge Hope himself, if he sees this appeal, to hand himself in to the police."
