Phoenix Nights comedian Ted Robbins has returned to broadcasting after recovering from a collapse on stage.

Robbins suffered a cardiac arrest during a Phoenix Nights Live show.

Presenting his regular BBC Radio Lancashire show earlier, he thanked the off-duty medics in the Manchester Arena audience who treated him on 31 January.

He said: "Thanks to a combination of wonderful events and people I'm back home and looking forward to returning to life in all its rich tapestry."

The performance of the stage version of the hit TV show was abandoned after the collapse.

The 59-year-old Liverpool-born comic, who has lost two stone (13kg) since the episode, said he intended to raise awareness about CPR and defibrillators.
