Man receives serious facial injuries in Accrington dog attack

A man is in hospital with serious facial injuries after being attacked by two Staffordshire bull terriers in Lancashire.

Police were called to Fife Street, Accrington, at 20:20 GMT on Tuesday.

The victim, 36, was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital where he is also receiving treatment for injuries to his legs. Both dogs were seized by police.

A local 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control in a public place.
