One of the main roads into Blackpool has re-opened after major repairs costing £3.6m.

Yeadon Way, which connects the M55 with the town centre, closed in November at the end of the resort's Illuminations season.

The council said the work was necessary due to a gradual deterioration in the road and surrounding area.

A spokesman said contractors had been "working flat out" to make sure all the work was completed before Easter.
