Lancashire child sex offences inquiry: Five men arrested

Five men have been bailed after being arrested on suspicion of historical child sex offences in Lancashire.

Police said the allegations, dating back to the late 1990s and early 2000s, involve a woman who was a girl aged between 12 and 17 at the time.

Two men from Accrington, aged 36 and 38, and two men from Burnley, aged 45 and 57, have been held on suspicion of rape.

A 57-year-old Blackburn man was held on suspicion of sexual assault.

Officers said the investigation relates to offences allegedly committed in Blackburn and Accrington.
