Motorcyclist dies in overtaking crash in Lancashire

A motorcyclist has died following a crash while trying to overtake on a road in Lancashire.

The 65-year-old man was on the northbound A6 near Yealand Conyers in the Carnforth area and crashed as a car turned right on to Tarn Lane on Monday.

The man, from the Warton area, suffered multiple injuries and died at the scene. No-one else was injured.

The road was closed at about 11:25 BST for more than five hours. Police are appealing for witnesses.
