Police charge man after Preston paramedic attack

A man has been charged with assault after a paramedic treating him was attacked in Lancashire.

Police found the unconscious man in Miller Road in the Ribbleton area of Preston at about 03:00 BST.

After regaining consciousness, he then allegedly punched one of the paramedics who had come to his aid.

Lancashire Police said the man, from Ribbleton, has been bailed and is due to appear before magistrates in Preston on 7 July.
