Whittle-le-Woods crash death motorcyclist had 'much to live for'

A motorcyclist killed in a crash with a car in Lancashire had "so much to live for", his father said in a tribute.

Connor Whittingham, 23, dead at the scene of the collision on Preston Road, Whittle-le-Woods, at about 14:45 BST on Sunday.

Police are investigating the cause including whether speed was a factor.

Mr Whittingham's father Paul said: "Connor loved his motorbikes" and hopes his death "will raise awareness... of the risks that speed can have."

"Connor was very much loved by all his family and liked by a huge number of people."

Mr Whittingham suffered multiple injuries and the driver of the car, a 40-year-old woman from Bolton, suffered whiplash and was treated for shock.

The family statement said Mr Whittingham had a "short life that could have been very much more".
