Second Allerton Bywater woman dies after A656 car crash

A second woman has died following a car crash in West Yorkshire in which a driver was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous diving.

Tracey Brereton, 43, from Allerton Bywater died from her injuries in hospital a week after the accident.

She was a passenger in a Ford Fiesta which collided with a VW Golf on the A656 near Micklefield on 5 April.

The 40-year-old male driver of the Golf, from London, who was arrested has now been released on police bail.

Another passenger in the Fiesta, Helen Julia Gray, 39, also from Allerton Bywater died at the scene.
