Murder charge after stabbing at party in Cleckheaton

A 19-year-old has been charged with murdering a man who was fatally stabbed following a disturbance at a house party in West Yorkshire.

Peter Brocklesby, 50, was attacked near his home in Brooklyn Road, Cleckheaton, early on Saturday.

Richard Oldroyd, of Great Pond Street, Ravensthorpe, Dewsbury, is due to appear before the town's magistrates later.

A 19-year-old woman, also arrested, has been released without charge.

Mr Brocklesby died in Dewsbury District Hospital from stab wounds, a post-mortem examination found.
