Lorry crash on M62 in West Yorkshire due to high winds
High winds have caused problems on the roads as a severe weather warning was placed across the region for gusts of up to 70mph.
Drivers faced delays on the M62 motorway near junction 23 after a lorry was blown over with diesel leaking over three lanes of the carriageway.
Police said no-one was injured in the crash which happened at about 1145 BST.
The Highways Agency warned drivers of lorries, caravans and motorbikes to avoid the motorways until winds eased.
Pam Allen, from the Highways Agency, said: "If you are driving a high-sided vehicle make sure you look at the roads and if you can do find an alternative route.
"If you are towing caravans don't make the journey unless absolutely necessary."
