Hull police warning over dog poison attempt

Dog owners in Hull are being warned not to allow their pets to eat food thrown into gardens after an incident of deliberate poisoning.

Humberside Police said one animal had suffered a reaction to a substance within a cooked sausage that had been put in a garden.

Officers said it appeared addresses in the Stanley Street area where dogs lived had been targeted.

As well as pets, police said young children could be at risk.
