Projects in Yorkshire aiming for lottery award
Five projects in Yorkshire have made it through to the finals of the National Lottery Awards with the chance of national recognition and a cash prize.
Altogether Better, a health mentoring scheme, is in the Best Health award.
North Ballet and Phoenix Dance Theatre is aiming for the Best Arts award.
York-based nature project, Opal, has been short-listed in the Best Environment section while Wentworth Castle Trust and York's quilt making project aim for the Heritage award.
Each of the schemes can be voted for from 2 September and the winner will be announced at a later date.
The winning project in each of the categories will receive national recognition at an event later in the year, broadcast on BBC One, as well as a £2,000 cash prize to spend on their project.
