Motorcyclist dies in Leeds hospital

A 37-year-old man has died in hospital after a car and a motorcycle collided in Leeds.

The incident occurred at about 15:00 BST on Saturday on Moorfield Road at the junction with Stanningley Road.

The motorcyclist received multiple injuries and was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where he died in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The 21-year-old driver of the car is being held by police on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
