Two men arrested over Chapeltown shooting

Two men have been arrested in connection with the shooting of a man in the face in Leeds.

The 34-year-old remains critically ill in Leeds General Infirmary after he was shot in the Chapeltown area at about 18:40 BST on Monday.

West Yorkshire Police said two men, aged 20 and 25, from Leeds, were in custody.

Officers from the force's homicide and major inquiry team are investigating and are appealing for witnesses.
