Woman, 79, killed in HGV accident at Mytholmroyd

A pensioner has died after being hit by a heavy goods vehicle in West Yorkshire.

Police said the goods lorry was queuing near the junction of Burnley Road and New Road in Mytholmroyd on Friday afternoon.

The vehicle was moving in the queue of traffic and 79-year-old Nancy Gregory was crossing the road.

Ms Gregory, of Luddenden, Halifax was pronounced dead at the scene and police have appealed for witnesses.
