Axe and gun threat to woman in Bradford robbery

A woman was tied up and threatened with an axe and a stun gun during a robbery at her home in Bradford.

Police said three men wearing balaclavas went to the address on Burnwells off Thackley Road between 13:20 and 13:40 GMT on Friday.

The 49-year-old victim's hands were bound during the incident which one detective described as "terrifying".

The men stole cash and fled in the woman's Range Rover, which was later found on Falkland Road.

Det Sgt Ryan Bragg, of Airedale and North Bradford CID, said: "This was a terrifying ordeal for a lone woman to suffer in her own home.

"Thankfully she is uninjured but extremely shocked by what occurred."
