Two babies burned in Bradford house fire

Two baby girls have been taken to hospital after a fire at a house in West Yorkshire.

Emergency crews were called to the house in Marsh Street, West Bowling, Bradford, at about 11:50 GMT.

The girls, aged one and 10 months, suffered burns and were taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary. The elder girl is in a serious condition.

Police said two adults had been in the terraced property at the time but had not been taken to hospital.

The force is working with fire crews and officers at the scene. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
