Smith family deaths at Leeds house: Inquest date set

An inquest into the deaths of a couple and their two young children who were found at their home in Leeds has been scheduled for Thursday.

Police said Clair Smith, 36, and her two sons, Ben aged nine and Aron, one, had been stabbed in the chest.

Mrs Smith's husband Richard, 37, died as a result of smoke inhalation.

They were found in a bedroom at the house in Sheridan Way on 11 December. Police said they were not looking for anyone else over the deaths.

West Yorkshire Police said an inquest was due to be opened at Leeds Coroner's Court.
